My Tragic CD Collection.

Hello everyone!

I am known among my friends as the person probably with the worst choice in music EVER. But I don't care, I love all my dusty CDs and music from the early 90s.

Nowadays everyone downloads or streams music and while I do this I still love going to HMV and picking up anything that looks good.

So today, I want to share with you my top picks from my tragic music collection.

I first heard of Gabrielle Aplin a few years ago when her songs 'Home' and 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' made it into the UK Top 40. I fell in love with her voice and her laid back songs. I went straight onto Amazon and bought her album 'English Rain'. I listen to this whenever I'm studying or trying to relax and need some chilled music to have in the background. My favorite songs are 'Keep on Walking' and 'Panic Cord'.

I got this for my 13th birthday from my brother. I was surprised that he hadn't bought me his  usual present of sweets from Poundland or failing that, nothing. I never considered myself a Mumford and Sons person, but as soon as I played this I fell in love.I always put this on when I'm tidying my room or just trying to do something productive. Never works but, hey, I try. My favorite songs from the album are the title track- 'Sigh No More'- and 'I Gave You All'. Literally there is not one song on this album that I do not like.

Who doesn't love a bit of James Blunt? It was only a few months ago that I found out it was bad to like James Blunt (much like Mika, another favorite of mine...). I really like his songs, this album, 'Back to Bedlam', came out in 2004 which might be considered old? Not for me anyway, the older the better. I listen to 'Wisemen' on repeat, I'm obsessed, it's one of those songs I never get tired of.

I definitely class myself as a 'Nesbian'. Nina is from the homeland (Scotland, hehe) and so that only makes me love her more! Heard her on Radio 1 and fell head over heels for her voice. 'Stay Out' and 'Selfies' made it to the charts but she has so much more to come. At the moment my favorite songs on her album are 'Mr. C' and 'Tough Luck' although I love 'Not Me' but it isn't on her CD :(.

Also at the moment I have this song on repeat., I feel like this describes what every teenager feels- and the odd adult as well, it's a cover of the original Radiohead song- 'Creep' .

Thanks so much for reading my post! Let me know down below what songs you've been loving so I can listen to them, I'm always on the lookout for new music!

See you soon!

  1. That James Blunt album just brought back so many memories! Whenever I want a go to song, I always go for anything by OneRepublic. But I would suggest 'Preacher' if you're looking for something new :) Nice post!

  2. As someone who likes Mumford and Sons, I think it's not very surprising that you can't be very productive when listening to their music ;)
I still buy CDs because it feels more like listening to 'my' music than listening to music on Spotify or downloading. I have twelve CDs, which is quite a pathetic little collection XD
