My Thoughts on The Tanya Burr Lip Glosses.
Hi everyone!
While writing this post, I am watching Pretty Little Liars. It is amazing, but seriously, can someone just tell me who "A" is?
I know, I am very late in jumping onto the bandwagon with
this one. To be honest, I'm not sure if the bandwagon is even there anymore to jump on and the beauty world has moved onto some other product or brand. Personally I don't really watch Tanya Burr on YouTube, so I'm not among the thousands of 'Burr-Bears' to buy these, but there was so much hype around her releasing her makeup line that I couldn't resist trying out some of her lip glosses because, I think it is safe to say that I am a lip gloss junkie.
Now that the hype has somewhat died down, I couldn't resist putting in my tuppence worth..
I bought these at Superdrug for £3 each instead of their usual RRP of £6. The bottom of the plastic wrapping had been damaged (hence the discount),but not enough for someone to have fully opened it and used it, so curiosity took hold and I grabbed them and took them to the till to pay.
I wanted a bold color hence the reddish orange "Lets Travel The World" and I had heard so much about "Picnic in the Park" from various beauty vloggers that I wanted to try it for myself- plus I thought it could be a good everyday gloss.
I personally don't think that they are very true to colour- both are lighter than they appear in the tube. This personally doesn't bother me but I know it would be an issue for other people.
I love the packaging, many have compared it to the Chanel and I completely agree. It's so sleek and shiny- I love it.
It has a flexible doe foot applicator which I really like .Both are quite translucent and the consistency is very creamy and goes slightly sticky after a short time which helps it stay for a long time, I can go about 45 minutes between each application- which for me is very good.
One frustrating thing about it is it has a tendency to gather in the creases of my lips, so I have to keep blending it out every so often by rubbing my lips together.
They both smell amazing- of strawberry laces. I love it but I think maybe some might consider it 'sickly sweet' depending on your preferences.
(Estee Lauder on the left and Tanya Burr on the right)
I have found it to be a dupe for one of my other Estee Lauder colours in 'Rock Candy'. Although it does look to be a shimmer you can barely see it on the lips- these colours are seriously so similar, although my Estee Lauder one does last slightly longer but then again, it cost 3 times the price and only has 3/4 of the product.
Have any of you tried any products from the Tanya Burr range. I would love to know your thoughts so leave them down below. Also, any guesses as to who 'A' could be- for PLL fans!
See you soon!

DeleteGreat post. I resisted the bandwagon when these glosses came out, mainly because I'm not a lip gloss kinda gal but I also didn't expect them to live up to the hype. But I think after reading your post, I'm going to give them a go! Thanks Olivia
