The Easiest To Use Eyeliner Ever?
Hello everyone!
Today I want to talk about a product that I have been using since I was twelve, when I first started venturing into the world of makeup (young? I'm not sure.). To be honest, 12 year old me was very unsure of herself and just wanted to be a grown-up.. ASAP. I was inspired by Audrey Hephurn's girlish style and wanted her adorable innocent looking winged eyes..

I researched all the brands and decided on the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Precision Micro Eyeliner. I really wanted something that was easy to use and did the job. I also wanted the final effect to be thin and delicate so I opted for the tiny thin nib.
First of all, this eyeliner is really easy to use, so amazing for novices. But I feel like you've always got to approach eyeliner with lots practice anyway and confidence. In the words of Essie Button :
Don't get scared when using eyeliner, it can sense the fear.
So true.
But seriously though, this eyeliner is so simple to use... but it only lasts for about 4 hours before it really starts to look faded and, to be honest, a bit crap.It claims to be waterproof but I don't see that reflected in its actual day-to-day wear.
Also, it really doesn't last that long in terms of the amount of product in the tube. I love these so I keep repurchasing because they are so easy to use, but I go through them like nothing else, buying a new one every month or two- an expensive addiction even for drugstore makeup. Plus I have a bad habit of leaving the cap off things which never helps...
It has very good pigmentation though, and comes out dark and precise.
Overall, I really do like this eyeliner. I feel like it's easiness outweighs it's faults. For instance, the Benefit Push Up Liner looks amazing and lasts forever but is so gimmicky and hard to use that I can't stand it.
Have any of you tried this product? What do you think of it? I'd love to hear in the comments!
See you soon! x

Lovely post! I have never really got on with eyeliner (I don't know why but I think my eyelids are too small! aha) but this sounds great so hopefully this will make me love eyeliner because I love the way it looks, just like you said. X

You definitely should, it is so easy :)
DeleteYou had me at Audrey. Oh how I long for her beauty. But yes her winged eyeliner is amazing. I still haven't mastered it but ones like this or the Collection one make it a little easier. Like my eyebrows, though, the wings end up like sisters, not twins :(

DeleteEyeliner is my absolute favourite make up. If I could only ever have one piece of make up, it would be eyeliner. So far the best one I have found is Benefits Push Up liner but I will have to give this one a go. x
ReplyDeleteSame, it just adds something to your face! I can't stand the push up liner at the moment but I'm sure I'm using it wrong :(!
DeleteI find it so difficult to do eyeliner, so i may have to have a look at this! xx

You must, I love it!
DeleteI've used this eyeliner before and I didn't like it for exactly the same reasons as you, as well as the fact that it dried out really quickly. Your should try the S&G Supercat liner, I hear it's realllyy good!

You should, it's perfect for beginners!
DeleteThese sorts of eyeliners are much easier to you, I use L'oreal Infallible and it has a super slim tip which is amazing for the look you're going for!

DeleteRimmel eyeliners tend to be very good, I have the Exaggerate eyeliner by Rimmel and it's so easy to use. I think I'll purchase the Scandaleyes one next though, 'cause Exaggerate is in a little pot which can sometimes mean that I make the eyeliner a bit too thick.

Oh you must tell me what you think of scandeleyes! To be honest I'm not a fan of potted eyeliner, for those reasons. !
DeleteMaybe I should try this, I'm looking for a new eyeliner. I'll have to take a look! Great post xx

You should!
DeleteI had the scandal eyes eyeliner for a bit, but i found that it dried out quite fast. Maybe it was the environment i left it in or something, i'm not sure. Although, i did find it really easy to use, like you. definitely a go-to for beginners with eyeliner :) My favourite liner, though, is the liquid eyeliner from the body shop, a little more expensive but soooo worth it and it lasts ageeeeessss <3
ReplyDeleteOooh sounds great, plus I LOVE the body shop :) I'll definitely take a look!
